San Andres is a small municipality that belongs to the Honduran state of Lempira with a population of 15,000 people; all focused in coffee production and making it the community’s first source of income. San Andres is located on the “Pico Congolon” at about 1,650 m; surrounded by 2 biological reserves (Reserva Biologica de Opalaca and Reserva Biologica Volvan Pacavita)
San Andres Especial is a strictly high and shade grown coffee, with a bold blueish-green bean appearance, harvested on rich soil conditions 120km south of the Pico de Celaque: which is Honduras highest point (2,870 m). Still now, in San Andres coffee continues to be process under traditional farming methods and 100% Sun Dried, helping it acquire its homogeneity of colour appearance and develop its unique, delightful, sweet, and chocolaty flavour
